AI Tools Feature Privacy
DocQR Tools includes AI features: PDF Summarize, Smart Reply, Text Enhance, Grammar Fix, and Writing Assistant. Here is how we treat your AI interactions:
AI requests are sent over encrypted HTTPS directly to processing endpoints. No intermediate server stores the transmission.
Inputs are processed in-memory. Once the response returns to your device, the processing memory is fully purged.
To bypass rate limits, you can add your own OpenRouter/Gemini API key. It is saved in your device's secured local storage, used strictly for direct API requests, and never transmitted to us or any other server.
Your text travels directly from your device to the secure AI engine and returns instantly. We do not inspect, retain, or back up any of it.
Local Features & App Permissions
All standard utilities (PDF generation, QR logs, notes, tasks, timers, converters) run entirely on-device. The app requests these permissions:
Enables QR and barcode scanning. Video is analyzed in-memory on-device and is never stored or shared.
Imports local images and documents for PDF creation and saves generated files to your device.
Used only for Speech-to-Text (STT) voice input. Audio is accessed only while you actively use the feature and is never recorded, stored, or shared by DocQR Tools. Voice is processed on-device when available to convert speech into text.
Sends reminders for your tasks and schedules. Notifications are generated locally without external servers.
Required for AI features, rewarded ads, optional cloud services, and checking internet connectivity. No network requests are made unless you use an online feature.
Cloud Sync & Data Storage
DocQR Tools operates in two modes: Local-Only (guest users) and Cloud Sync (signed-in users). You choose which mode to use:
All data stays on your device in local storage. No account required. Deleting the app erases all history, notes, and coins. Export important files for safety.
Sign in with Google to sync your coin balance and preferences across devices via Firebase Firestore. Your documents, PDFs, and personal files are never uploaded — only app state data syncs to enable cross-device continuity.
All network traffic (AI features, cloud sync, ads) uses HTTPS/TLS 1.3 encryption, preventing eavesdropping and man-in-the-middle attacks.
You can sign out at any time. Your cloud data remains until you request deletion by contacting support@bengalbytes.com. Local data is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Enable a passcode, face unlock, or fingerprint on your device to protect local data from physical tampering.
Third-Party Service Integration
To fund updates, enable optional cloud sync, reward ads, and monitor stability, we use a few select SDKs. Expand each for details:
Used only if you choose to sign in with Google. We receive your Google display name and email address for account identification. This data is stored in Firebase Authentication and is never shared with third parties. You can sign out and request deletion at any time. Governed by the Firebase Privacy Terms.
Used only for signed-in users to sync coin balance and preferences across devices. Stores: user ID, coin balance, feature usage stats, and last active timestamp. Never stores documents, PDFs, personal files, or scan history. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Governed by the Firebase Privacy Terms.
Uses device identifiers and approximate location to serve ads and award coins. Restrict tracking via Google Ads settings on Android. Subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
Collects anonymous diagnostic and performance telemetry to debug faults. Contains no personal text, files, or notes. Only stack traces and device info for crash resolution. Governed by the Firebase Privacy Terms.
Secure relay for AI writing workflows. Prompts are sent encrypted over HTTPS, processed, and cleared without caching. See the OpenRouter Privacy Statement.

By using DocQR Tools, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.
By downloading, installing, or using DocQR Tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
DocQR Tools is a free utility app offering PDF tools, QR/barcode generators, productivity utilities, and optional AI features. The app operates primarily offline. Cloud sync is optional and requires Google Sign-In.
You may use the app as a guest (no account required) or sign in with Google for optional cloud sync. When signed in, your coin balance and preferences sync across devices. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. You may sign out at any time from the app settings.
Coins are virtual credits used to unlock premium features within the app. Coins have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for real money. Coins are earned by watching rewarded ads, daily bonuses, and referral rewards. We reserve the right to modify coin values, costs, or earning rates at any time.
AI features generate text based on your inputs. AI-generated content is provided "as is" and may contain inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying AI outputs before use. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any purpose.
The free version of DocQR Tools displays ads served by Google AdMob. Ads help fund development and keep the app free. You may earn coins by watching rewarded ads voluntarily. We do not control the content of third-party ads and are not responsible for any products or services advertised.
DocQR Tools and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by Bengal Bytes and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app.
DocQR Tools is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Bengal Bytes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of coins, or service interruptions.
Guest users: All data is stored locally. Deleting the app or resetting your device will permanently erase your data. Signed-in users: Coin balance syncs to the cloud, but documents and personal files remain local only. Always export and back up important files separately.
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the app.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes through app updates or in-app notifications.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the app shall be resolved in the competent courts of the jurisdiction where Bengal Bytes operates.
