Your Files Never
Leave Your Phone.

DocQR Tools is built privacy-first. Scanning, PDFs, notes, and timers run entirely on your device. When you use an AI feature, your text is sent over a secure encrypted connection, used once, then immediately deleted — never stored, never sold.

Quick Overview & Highlights

A condensed overview of our design values. Utility apps should never violate user privacy.

What We Never Do

No Tracking: We never log your searches, scan history, AI prompts, or converted text.
No Servers: We host no database for your files, PDFs, or scan history.
No Data Selling: Your inputs are never repackaged or sold to advertisers.

What We Guarantee

Secure Processing: Inputs go directly to official APIs via TLS-encrypted tunnels.
100% On-Device DB: Tasks, settings, notes, and scans stay local.
Offline Access: Calculators, timers, levels, and rulers work with no internet.

AI Tools Feature Privacy

DocQR Tools includes AI features: PDF Summarize, Smart Reply, Text Enhance, Grammar Fix, and Writing Assistant. Here is how we treat your AI interactions:

In-Flight Encrypted Processing

AI requests are sent over encrypted HTTPS directly to processing endpoints. No intermediate server stores the transmission.

Immediate Deletion Policy

Inputs are processed in-memory. Once the response returns to your device, the processing memory is fully purged.

Custom User API Keys

To bypass rate limits, you can add your own OpenRouter/Gemini API key. It is saved in your device's secured local storage, used strictly for direct API requests, and never transmitted to us or any other server.

Simple Terms Summary

Your text travels directly from your device to the secure AI engine and returns instantly. We do not inspect, retain, or back up any of it.

2

Local Features & App Permissions

All standard utilities (PDF generation, QR logs, notes, tasks, timers, converters) run entirely on-device. The app requests these permissions:

CAMERA

Enables QR and barcode scanning. Video is analyzed in-memory on-device, never stored or broadcast.

STORAGE

Imports local images/documents to convert to PDF and saves generated files to your Downloads folder.

NOTIFICATIONS

Alerts you for pending to-dos and schedules. Reminders are scheduled locally, no external server needed.

NETWORK_STATE

Fetches ads, handles optional coin rewards, and connects to AI services when you trigger AI tools.

3

Data Storage & SQLite Security

DocQR Tools has no accounts, cloud profiles, or server sync. We rely entirely on local storage:

No Server-Side Backups

All data lives in an isolated local database. Deleting the app or resetting your phone erases your history and notes. Export important PDFs to separate storage for safety.

TLS 1.3 Encryption Transport

All outgoing traffic (AI, coin transactions, ads) uses secure HTTPS/TLS 1.3, preventing eavesdropping.

Device Security Gating

Enable a passcode, face unlock, or fingerprint on your device to protect the local database from physical tampering.

4

Third-Party Service Integration

To fund updates, reward ads, and monitor stability, we use a few select SDKs. Expand each for details:

Uses device identifiers and approximate location to serve ads and award coins. Restrict tracking via Google Ads settings on Android. Subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

Collects anonymous diagnostic and performance telemetry to debug faults. Contains no custom text, files, or notes. Governed by the Firebase Privacy Terms.

Secure relay for AI writing workflows. Prompts are sent encrypted over HTTPS, processed, and cleared without caching. See the OpenRouter Privacy Statement.
